Licence

You must have either an annual license through the Norwegian Cycling Federation, or purchase a one-time license for 220 NOK. For the Social Ride 75km, the licence is 60kr.

A license is mandatory to participate in all types of cycling races with an organiser affiliated with the Norwegian Cycling Federation (NCF). It includes a small accident insurance. For the annual license, the insurance covers accidents during all cycling activities as well as accidents while travelling to and from cycling races. The license is administered by the Norwegian Cycling Federation.

You can either purchase a one-time license or an active license. The one-time license is purchased when you register for the race. Annual licenses can be ordered by members of an NCF-approved club/team that has paid the annual membership fee to the club/team. The license is valid for all types of races and is valid from the date the license is approved by the NCF until December of the same year. The insurance is valid until February of the following year.

For more information about licenses, see www.sykling.no.

Cancellation/ Transfer registration

Entry to L’Etape Trondheim is binding and there will be no refund of entry fees or any other options that were paid for during the registration process. No exceptions will be made.

You have the option to transfer your registration, this can be done only via our official registration platform. It is your responsibility to find a buyer. There is no fee for transfer.

Who can register?

Both distances are for those 17 years of age and older. The 75km Social Ride is for those 13 years of age and older.

Do you have to cycle together with a duo pass?

No. The Duo pass give you a discount because you are purchasing multiple passes at the same time. There is no requirement for everyone to cycle together, but you must cycle the same distance.

How does the Duo registration work?

When you register, you fill in only your information. After you have paid for both registrations and a one-day license for yourself if you need this, you will have access to a participant dashboard. In this dashboard there will be a link that you can send to the other person that will use the Duo registration.

The second person then registers themselves with their own personal information through this link, and pays for a license themselves if they need it. The registration through this link will not cost the second person anything.

Group registration?

We would love to welcome your group to our event.

Our group registration process is simple and easy to manage both for the group leader and the group members. We offer two payment options, either with the registrations being paid for by each participant or by invoicing the group for all registrations.

Send us an e-mail at contact@letape.no for more information!

How do I change my distance?

You must collect your assigned start number from the bib collection at our Race Village. Here you can speak to our help desk, who will help you change distance if we still have start numbers available.

You can find information about opening hours for our Race Village here.

How do start waves work?

Your race number also shows which start group you belong to. The first digit of your race number is your start group number.

Example:

  • Race number 1xxx = start group 1
  • Race number 2xxx = start group 2
  • Race number 3xxx = start group 3

Start groups

Start groups are based on expected average speed, not distance. This means riders from the 130 km, 75 km and 75 km Social Ride may start in the same group if they have registered a similar expected speed.

The fastest groups start first. All start groups will be clearly marked in the start area.
