✈️ Trondheim by air

Trondheim is easy to reach by air. Trondheim Airport Værnes offers many direct routes from Norway and abroad, just 30–40 minutes from the city centre. Frequent trains and airport shuttles make the transfer quick and simple.

Trondheim welcomes daily arrivals from both Hurtigruten and Havila Voyages.

Travelling from continental Europe, several ferries connect Denmark to Oslo, including routes from Copenhagen, Frederikshavn and Kiel. From Oslo, it’s an easy 6–7 hour drive or train ride north to Trondheim.

🚝 Trondheim by train

Enjoy a comfortable journey through scenic landscapes with the train to Trondheim. The Dovre Line connects Oslo and Trondheim several times a day, with a popular night train option. You’ll arrive right in the city centre – ready for the experience.
